Since the second half of the year, as the prices of silicon, aluminum, glass, EVA and other raw materials have soared, the price of solar panels has also risen. it was commonplace for module makers to renegotiate prices with clients and to see orders being canceled. However, Tier-1 module makers, with advantages in vertical integration and brand impact, dominated module shipment amid gloomy profit outlook.

Module makers appeared reserved towards price quotes next year amid lofty production costs. Presently, prices for modules rated beyond 500 W in the fourth quarter this year and the first quarter of 2022 is projected to sustain at USD 0.275-0.29/W. As the price of raw materials has a downward trend, It is expected that starting from the second quarter of next year, the price of components will fall.
