Bifacial dual glass VS bifacial transparent mesh backsheet

Glass plus transparent back sheet has a lighter weight, the weight difference increasing toward bigger size. A lighter panel contributing to installation, transportation, and cutting down Bos cost as well.

Mechanical properties

Basically, the bifacial transparent back sheet and dual glass have the same performance in terms of mechanical properties. Which the certified 5400pa snow load /2400pa wind load does meet the requirement of most solar power plants.

The front side of the bifacial transparent back sheet is with 3.2mm tempered glass, while dual glass has 2-2.5mm tempered glass, 3.2mm tempered glass will have higher impact strength.

Bifacial dual glass has glass on both sides contribute to its mechanical strength. giving the module against higher wind and dynamic mechanical load.

But, when installing in some regions with extreme weather, like the desert, seaside, the dual glass will have a lower risk than a bifacial transparent back sheet.
